SKOWHEGAN, Maine (AP) — A 33-year-old Maine man has pleaded not guilty to charges he killed his father this summer in Cambridge.

Angelo Licata, of Detroit, entered the plea Thursday in Somerset County Superior Court in Skowhegan.

Court documents say that on July 21 police received a 911 call from the wife of Alfred Licata who said she found blood in the kitchen of their home. Alfred Licata husband was found dead outside the home on the lawn.

Angelo Licata was arrested the next day.

Police have not said publicly how Alfred Licata was killed or offered a possible motive.

The Morning Sentinel says that if convicted, Angelo Licata faced 25-years-to-life in prison.
