WILTON — The Wilton Day Extension Homemakers 2012 community service project, “Flags on Main Street,” has kicked off and donations are coming in to support it.
The goal of the project is to see American flags flying in Wilton, East Wilton, Dryden and East Dixfield by Memorial Day.
Each flag costs $50 and the Extension Homemakers have several fundraisers planned, including sponsoring the flags. To date, $500 has been received from Ronald G. Aseltine Esq. P.A.; Blodgett Builders LLC; Wilton Academy Class of 1961; Rick’s Market; Norm’s Redemption; Taylor Made Homes Inc.; and Nancy’s Beauty Salon.
Donations may be made by any business or individual and may be in memory of an individual or veteran, if desired. A fund has been set up at the Wilton Town Office for the Flags on Main Street Project. Checks may be made to: Town of Wilton, Flag Fund, 158 Weld Road, Wilton, ME 04294
