MECHANIC FALLS — The Androscoggin County Republican Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in the Mechanic Falls Town Hall. The speaker will be Lance Dutson of the Maine Heritage Policy Center.

Dutson will talk about Question 1 on the Nov. 8 statewide ballot. The question seeks to repeal a law passed by the Legislature earlier this year that ended the state’s practice of allowing people to register to vote on Election Day. All are welcome.
