PORTLAND — The Ski Museum of Maine will hold a ski season launch party from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Eastland Park Hotel. Tickets are $15 in advance of $20 at the door.

There will be displays, a slide show, short films, book signings and sales,  and light refreshments. Door prizes will be drawn.
