LEWISTON — Janet M. Saltis, 93, formerly of 63 Fair St., Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 7, at Marshwood Health Care Facility.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 14, 1918, the daughter of Wilfred and Leontine (Langelier) Boulette and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School. She married Stanley Saltis on April 30, 1938; he died on May 24, 2001.

Janet was employed as a secretary to Lessard Realty Broker and Contractor for many years. She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Church and Covenant 50.

Her hobbies included reading and writing to her friends. Just two days before she passed, she got to see a picture of her great-grandnephew, which really meant a lot to her.

She is survived by two nephews, Paul Groleau of Greene and Stanley Groleau of Hartford; a grandniece, Alyssa Groleau; a grandnephew, Ahren Groleau and his wife, Karen; and one great-grandnephew, Kaiden Scott Groleau.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Olivette Groleau.
