WILTON — Selectmen directed Town Manager Rhonda Irish to analyze several bids received to install a new oil furnace with a small, water heater in the town office. She will make a recommendation to the board to which one best fits the town’s needs at its 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, meeting at the town office.
Irish opened the bids at the board’s Oct. 4 meeting.
There is $8,000 budgeted for the project.
The bids and contractors are: Rick Karkos Plumbing & Heating of Wilton, $5,200; Rocky Lake Plumbing Heating Inc. of Livermore, $7,489.76; a second bid from Rocky Lake on a different boiler, $6,359.70; ABT Plumbing, Heating & Cooling of Wilton, $6,359 with an additional $300 for the option of programmable thermostat; Riverview Plumbing & Heating of Livermore with programmable thermostat, $6,925; and A. Maurais & Son Inc. of Jay, $6,097.
