CANTON — Louise Adams, 95, formerly of East Dixfield, died early evening on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home, where she had resided for the last four years.

She was born in Rumford, Jan. 1, 1916, one of 16 children born to Frank and Florence (Downs) Burgess and received her education in local schools.

On June 19, 1937, she married Wesley Adams. Louise was a member of the East Dixfield Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening and flowers. She also collected cups and saucers and enjoyed her friends in East Dixfield.

She is survived by two sisters, Irene Billings of Milton Plantation and Etta Parlin of Anson; and several nieces and nephews.
