I offer a thank-you to the volunteers, police departments and organizers of the Dempsey Challenge. What a wonderfully supported bicycle ride.

I felt like a queen crossing Washington Street toward the end, when the kindly police officer held up traffic so I could cross.

Lewiston, Auburn and adjoining towns can be proud of the efforts the townspeople did to help those with cancer.

I can’t wait until the ride next year.
