AUBURN — Organizers of the New Beginnings 5K Trick or Treat Pumpkin Trail Run are planning a fall 5k at Lost Valley. The 5K trail run/walk and kid’s fun run are scheduled for the morning of Sunday, Oct. 30. All proceeds will benefit runaway and homeless youth in the programs of New Beginnings.
The run/walk will take place on Lost Valley’s trail system that winds through woods and open orchards. The timed 5K run awards cash prizes for top overall female and male overall. Gift certificates for the top finishers in six age categories will be awarded. Participants and spectators are encouraged to wear costumes.
Additional activities include a Children’s Fun Run, carved pumpkin contest and costume contest.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The Kid’s Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. The 5k Trail Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. More information and registration forms are available by searching “New Beginnings” at www.onestoprace.com or by emailing info@newbeginmaine.org.
