WINDHAM — A Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputy was involved in an accident Friday near the intersection of Whites Bridge Road and Route 302.

While responding to a domestic assault, Deputy Brad Chicoine was attempting to make to U-turn when his cruiser collided with a vehicle driven by Amber Sprinkle, 22, of Bridgton.

Sprinkle’s 1985 Toyota Corolla struck Chicoine’s marked cruiser at the driver’s door. No injuries were sustained.

Sprinkle was cited for having no insurance. Her vehicle was damaged beyond repair. The police cruiser sustained more than $5,000 in damage.
