LEWISTON — Cordelia K. Sawyer, 79, formerly of the Sarah Frye Home, Auburn, died Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Russell Park Manor following a brief illness.

She was born in Auburn, July 17, 1932, the daughter of Herman and Ruth (Briggs) Sawyer.

Cordelia loved her family especially her great-granddaughter, Izzabella. She also loved her doll collection and “Winnie the Pooh.”

She was a longtime faithful member of Court Street Baptist Church, and loved God with all her heart.

Survivors include one brother, Nelson Sawyer and wife, Nancy, of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Doris Lafrance; and one stepbrother, Ronnie Sawyer.
