LEWISTON — Frank B. Dingley, 44, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving and adoring son, Nickalaus, Saturday, Oct. 15, at Central Maine Medical Center after suffering a stroke at his home four days prior. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.
He was born in Lewiston, May 2, 1967, to Linda Kramarz and Bruce Dingley. Frank spent his childhood in Lisbon, graduating from Lisbon High School before attending the University of Maine, where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity.
Frank was an avid baseball fan and a lover of all New England sports teams. This being said, he took great relish in watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins bring home six championships in the last decade of his life. He loved reading, music and the ocean.
He was incredibly compassionate man and a truly fierce friend. He valued the happiness of the people he cared for more than his own and made sacrifices throughout his life to help friends and family in times of need. He lived a cruelly short but greatly impactful life on this earth. His loss leaves a void in the lives of many, one that will not be filled easily.
He spent much of his last months maintaining and renovating the family camp in Harpswell for the use of future generations. Frank’s favorite natural occurrences at camp included taking in the sea breeze at the point on a warm sunny day, watching the sun rise on the ocean and set on the back bay, and above all, sitting by the fire under the light of the full moon.
He is survived by his stepfather and lifelong father figure, Richard Bard, who was a part of nearly all of his 44 years; he also leaves his loving brother, Timothy Bard; admiring children, Kaitlyn-Jade and Nickalaus Dingley; nephews, Ricci Bard and Liam Moore; cousin and close friend, Kimberly Vasel; various cousins; and countless friends across the nation.
He was predeceased by his mother, Linda (Kramarz) Bard; his father, Bruce Dingley; along with his beloved aunt, Judy (Kramarz) Bard.
