AUBURN — Roland J. Marquis, 71, a resident of Sabattus, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, from cancer.

He was born in Lisbon, June 10, 1940, a son of the late Albert and Rosanna (Arquette) Marquis. He was educated in Lisbon schools. Roland worked as a carpenter with various local contractors, at Maine Camper and retired from Maine Bucket Co. He enjoyed stock car racing and his nightly coffee with friends.

Roland is survived by his devoted children, sons, Steve Marquis and his wife, Debora and Andre Marquis and his wife, Danielle and daughters, Dona Field and her companion, Alan Levesque and Chantal Marquis and her companion, Brian Neal; grandchildren, Brandon Beaulieu and his wife, Alycia, Dana and Erin Marquis, Ashley Field, Jayden Marquis and Reese Marquis; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Beaulieu; brother, Robert Marquis; sister, Pauline Baumer and her husband, John; an aunt, Juanita Egan; and many nieces and nephews.

Roland was predeceased by a grandson, Spc. Beau Beaulieu.
