VFW dance

HARRISON — The VFW will hold a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Harrison VFW Post on Route 35. The Rockin’ Roadrunners will perform music from the 50s and 60s. Admission is $10. Must be 21 years old.

Indoor walking

NAPLES — The Step Into Fitness indoor walking program at Lake Region High School will begin on Oct. 26. Walks will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Watch for “entrance” signage at the high school through the construction project.

PARIS — Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education offers a variety of classes through the month of October. Classes on Thursday, Oct. 27, include the following.

Basket weaving, with Bunny Pratt, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. $35. One more basket weaving class will be offered Nov. 3. Sign up early.

Breathe In, Breathe Out, with Chris and Paula Easton, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. $20.

BETHEL — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting for the Bethel/Woodstock community at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Crescent Park Elementary School.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the many different and fun ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.

Festival, fair

HARTFORD — Hartford Community Church Women’s Association will hold their annual Fall Festival and Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Hartford Town Hall, Route 140. Fine crafters, local nonprofit organizations, fall and Christmas gifts, fine jewelry, homemade food, sandwiches, drinks, chips, other treats will be featured, as well as the sale of Saturday night bean supper and homemade pies.
