AUBURN — Mildred R. Forrest, 102, formerly of 78 Fairlawn Ave., Lewiston, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility, where she received the most compassionate and loving care for the past 10 years.
She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 22, 1909, the daughter of John and Mary (Turnbull) Forrest and she attended Lewiston schools.
Mildred was employed at the Lewiston Bleachery and Dye Works, where she worked at the age of 16 until its closing.
She is survived by one son, John L. Forrest of Wales; two granddaughters, Ann Joy of Winthrop and Lynn Forrest of Greene; grandson, James Forrest of Vermont; great-grandchildren, John L. Forrest III of San Diego, Beth St. Laurent of Sabattus, Cortney Forrest of St. Louis, Nicholas Forrest of Minot, Ashley Nault of Winthrop, Andrew Joy of South Berwick, Allison Pelletier of Lewiston, Megan and Kaitlyn Pelletier of Greene; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, John L. Forrest Jr.
