Dora Roy, 10, and her mother, Valerie, of New Gloucester, carve jack-o’-lanterns at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester on Wednesday during a pumpkin-carving workshop. Participants were treated to baked pumpkin seeds and taken to an adjacent barn to feed to the cows the “guts” of the pumpkins they had cleaned. They also got to take home their carved pumpkins. The next pumpkin-carving workshop is scheduled for 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct 27.
