There are a couple of matters that need to be addressed around the area.
Bikes are supposed to travel in the same direction as cars.
If walking in the street, pedestrians are supposed to walk facing traffic, and use crosswalks when crossing the street.
We used to be taught this in school and the police enforced it. Now, it seems everyone ignores those laws.
Dogs are supposed to be on a leash, or under the owner’s command on their own property. They are not allowed to roam free on other people’s property. If your dog comes onto my property and attacks me, you are liable for a major lawsuit. And criminal charges.
If your dog comes on my property and the animal control officer is notified, you may be charged.
Those are laws in Maine. Laws are made to protect the public and myself.
I would hope that more people obeyed them.
