Hinkley

WALES — The wedding of H. Maria Deschaine and Dean Charles Hinkley was held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 at their home in Wales. Maurice L. Conner Jr., notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hinkley is the daughter of Simon and Ramona Diaz of Lawrence, Mass. Mr. Hinkley is the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Hinkley Sr.

The bride, given in marriage by her son, James J. Deschaine, wore a full length pearl white satin gown with pearl and lace hand-sewed embroidery and a Victorian neckline.

Witnesses for the couple were Roger and Martha Robinson of Lewiston, friends. Attendants were Morgan Nelson, granddaughter and Taironce Nelson, Xavier Deschaine and Max Nelson, grandsons. Flower girls were Alexis Deschaine and Willow Merchant, granddaughters. Best man and ring bearer was Dean C. Hinkley II, son of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at their home. A future trip is planned.

The bride is a graduate of Lewiston High School and Lewiston Vocational School. The bridegroom is a graduate of Monmouth Academy and served nine years in the U.S. Navy.

The couple has seven children and 10 grandchildren.
