DURHAM — A Turner couple were injured and one driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Hallowell Road in front of the Durham Fire Station.

Sgt. Jim Jacques of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office identified the injured as Carol Jackson, 62, and her husband, Brian, 65, of Turner.

They were taken to Central Maine Medical Center by Durham Fire and Rescue. He said their injuries were non-life-threatening.

The drive of the second vehicle was identified as Korey Enman-Curtis, 20, of Newell Brook Road, a volunteer firefighter with the Durham Fire Department.

According to Jacques, Carol Jackson had turned onto Hallowell Road from Royalsborough Road and Enman-Curtis was exiting the fire station yard onto Hallowell Road, where they collided.

The young firemen, who said he did not see Jackson’s car, escaped injury but was ticketed for failure to yield.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 each to Jackson’s 1998 Chevy Lumina and Enman-Curtis’ 1994 Infiniti in the 9 a.m. crash.
