DIXFIELD — Erik S. Perry, 40, of Dixfield, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 22, at his residence.

He was born in Rumford, May 17, 1971, a son of Timothy C. and Patricia (Beauchesne) Perry.

Erik was educated in Mexico schools and lived in the Rumford area most of his life. He was employed with the Boiler Makers Union Local 37.

Erik was a heavy metal maniac, and besides listening to music, he enjoyed hanging out at Taylors Garage and spending time with family and friends, playing football with his nephews and being with his nieces. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. Erik also loved watching college football, NFL football and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

Surviving are his mother, Patricia B. Lavorgna and husband, Joseph, of Delta Junction, Alaska; his father, Timothy C. Perry of Andover; two sisters, Marybeth Perry of Dixfield and Lori B. Perry and companion, Ron Wedge, of Berlin, N.H.; two stepsisters, Sarah Lavorgna of Farmington and Gail Lavorgna of Portland; two nephews, Ian Austin and Caleb Austin; and two nieces, Leah Francis and Ella Wedge.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jason Perry; and a nephew, Wyatt Wedge.

A benefit will be held on Nov. 19, starting at 1 p.m. at the Shack, featuring the band Monsta.
