AUBURN — Rita Y. Caron, 86, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Odd Fellows Home in Auburn, where she lived for the past two years.

She was born in Auburn, Nov. 19, 1924, the daughter of Eugene and Emeline Couturier Reny. Educated in Lewiston schools, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years. Her family was the most important thing to her.

Survivors include two sons, Roger L. and wife, Patricia, of Richmond, Va., and Ron R. and Joline, of New York; and a daughter, Rachel Caron Plourde and fiance, Bob Norwood, of Lewiston; two sisters, Mariette Desmarais of Lewiston and Muriel Boucher of Somersworth, N.H.; her six grandchildren, Jesse and Christopher Caron, Jason and Sean Caron and Heather and Alyssa Plourde, held a special place in her heart; she also leaves three great-grandchildren, Hailey Labrecque, Gabriel Caron and Sidney Caron.

She was predeceased by a brother, Laurier Reny.
