FRYEBURG — The Maine Candlepin Bowling Association held its annual Singles Championship Finals, this past weekend at Saco Valley Sports Center.
Placing first in the Woman’s APH Division was Catie Scribner, representing the Big 20 Bowling Center of Scarborough, with a score of 1,503. 2. Roni Cavallero, Big 20, 1,471; 3. Sharon Jacques, Vacationland Bowling Center, Saco, 1,435; 4. Anne Turner, Saco Valley Sports Center, 1,427; 5. Kate Archambault, Vacationland Bowling Center, 1,425.
In the Men’s APH division, Brandon Morgan, from the Bowl-A-Rama Bowling Center in Sanford placed first with 1,519. 2. Kyle Sherman, Bowl-A-Rama, 1,472; 3. Shawn Morrison, Bangor-Brewer Lanes, 1,457; 4. Sean Murphy, Vacationland Bowling Center, 1,456; 5. Steve Widger, Vacationland Bowling Center, 1,454.
Women’s Scratch division, Amanda Carroll of Big 20 won with 1,120. 2. Brooke Anton, Big 20, 1,084; 3. Kim Kangas, Hobbs Lucky Lanes, South Paris, 1,083; 4. Angie Davis, Big 20, 1,072; 5. Grace Leavitt, Big 20, 916.
Men’s Scratch division, Shawn Morrison, Bangor-Brewer Lanes placed first with 1,357. 2. Joey Hutchinson, Vacationland Bowling Center, 1,229; 3. Mark Smith, Hobbs Lucky Lanes, 1,227; 4. Frank Layne, Saco Valley Sports Center, 1,221; 5. 5. Brian Purdy, Big 20, 1,195.
The next MSCBA event will be the Doubles, held at the Big 20 Bowling Center in Scarborough on Nov. 19 and 20.
