DEAR SUN SPOTS: I really appreciate your column and have used the information often. It offers a broad range of help and is very interesting to read. Your warmth and caring shines through and your solutions show how knowledgeable you are in providing resources to your readers.
This is in response to the question in the Eden Pure Infrared heaters column (Oct. 13). I purchased two Eden Pure electric heaters when they first were on the market. I liked the fact that the cabinets always remained cool to touch, that they could be easily moved to another location, and that they did not tip over. I also appreciated that the operation was very quiet.
However, both heaters stopped working within a year and a half after purchasing them. Further, it took a long time to heat a room. My electric bill greatly increased, probably because the thermostat never shut off the heater, which probably caused it to burn out.
Now I need your help. I would appreciate it if anyone could inform me where I could have these heaters repaired. — No Name via email
ANSWER: Sorry the heater didn’t work out for you. Sun Spots looked online, and at edenpurestore.com/warranty-info, it says all their units have a three-year manufacturer’s warranty from the original purchase date. There are instructions at the website or you can call 1-888-499-8656, option 2.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: We have used the EdenPure heater to warm up our living room for about three years and have been very happy with it. It makes the room warm enough to enjoy in the evening without having to turn up the thermostat. The heater is also light enough to move upstairs when it’s necessary to warm up an extra bedroom. My daughter has also used one and has been happy with it. — S.C. via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots will not be running listings of craft fairs or other event announcements any longer. Her editors have decided those items should be in Connections or in the Check It Out calendar (usually Page B3).
She will print the letters for events requesting donations or looking for crafters to rent tables.
If you would like your craft fair listed in Connections, send it to [email protected] and put “craft fair” in the subject line.
