MIAMI, Okla. — Allen E. Greaton, 71, of Miami, Okla., formerly of Auburn and Canton, passed away Sept. 23.

He was born in Lewiston, June 30, 1940, the son of William W. and Catherine (Harden) Greaton. Allen was self-employed selling cars, furniture, or cleaning chimneys before retiring due to a broken back.

Allen was known for picking up strays, rather animals or people. He especially loved Christmas and would always help a family in need.

Allen is survived by four daughters, Vicky Thompson and husband, Chuck, Susan Greeley and husband, Mike, Penny Wood and Amanda Liguori and husband, Joe; three sisters, Barbara Shaw and husband, Charles, Shirley Hunt and husband, John and Connie Robinson and husband, Tom; and his best friend and dog, Sargent.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Philip, William and Robert; and one sister, Becky Leonard.
