STOCKHOLM, Maine (AP) — Officials say a 46-year-old northern Maine man has been killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
The Maine Warden Service says deer hunters discovered the body of Bruce Johnson, of New Sweden, lying next to his ATV on a trail in Stockholm at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Johnson was last seen at 4 p.m. Friday and apparently was killed while riding his ATV during the night.
Officials say he apparently lost control when he came upon a fallen tree in the trail and flipped his ATV. The warden service says Johnson appeared to have severe head trauma. He was not wearing a helmet.
