I am sorry to be the one to voice my opinion in such a demoralizing way, but big changes are needed in the nation’s government. The two party system is not working; not in the way that our forefathers meant it to be.

Current politicians are greedy and mindless about the needs of this country and its citizens. The nation is at the brink of a revolution.

The newer politicians are so intimidated by the old boys that they fear they will not be invited to the next cocktail party, so they fall in line, just as did those who preceded them.

There is nothing left for the people; nothing.

As voters, we need to get rid of the old bunch.

Maybe a single party system would suffice, and the president elected with one eight-year term (and not by the Electoral College, but by the people and for the people). That would stop the fighting between parties that the people have been subjected to for the past 100 years.

My view on the three possible gambling casinos being voted on is that a few prominent people will visit them in the beginning, out of curiosity, then the suckers will be pulled in — the $300 per week guy. And the 800 jobs being created will be more like 80, and only for a few months during construction. Then the professionals take over.
