BANGOR, Maine — A man who damaged property near Hart Hall at Husson University with his car early Sunday and was arrested for drunken driving was one of four men arrested that night when police also discovered three wanted Lewiston men, police say.

Bangor police Officer Joe Page responded to Husson about 2:40 a.m. and found Andy Mondesir, 24, of Bangor, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, Sgt. Paul Edwards said in a statement Monday.

Mondesir was given a field sobriety test, which he failed, and was arrested for operating under the influence, the sergeant said.

While Page was arresting Mondesir, Officer Dick Polk arrested three others — Samuel Phelan, 19, Avery Jackson, 18 and Devin Jackson, 20, all of Lewiston — on outstanding arrest warrants. All three were in another car at Husson at the same time.

Phelan was wanted for failing to pay unpaid fines, and Avery Jackson and Devin Jackson were both wanted for failing to appear in court.

All four were taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later were released, Edwards said.
