WAYNE — On Sunday,  Nov. 6, Wayne’s Cary Memorial Library will host a musical extravaganza featuring Lewiston’s own guitar virtuoso Denny Breau. The blues duo Mojo Mamas will play the opening set. The concert will be a benefit for the Cary Memorial Library and will take place at 6 p.m. at the Ladd Center, 26 Gott Road, just off Route 133 in  Wayne.

Breau has been described as a rhythmically flawless and dazzling guitar player who is also a terrific song writer and a fine singer.  He is a member of the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and is equally comfortable playing folk, country, Delta blues and jazz.  The son of the popular country artists Hal Lone Pine and Betty Cody and the brother of the late, great jazz guitarist Lenny Breau, Denny carries on the family tradition of speaking to the heart through music.

Opening the show will be the Mojo Mamas, a rocking blues duo consisting of local legends Pat Pepin and Jan Gill, who promise to make you laugh, cry and shake your booty all in the same evening.

In keeping with community tradition, doors will open at 5 p.m. and a light supper will be available for sale. There will be a choice of homemade soups, Wayne’s Huntington bread, and assorted drinks and desserts.

Tickets are $10 in advance (purchased at the library) and $12 at the door,  children under 17 are $5 and families $25. All proceeds will benefit the library.
