MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 92 incidents from Oct. 15 to Oct. 31.

Burglary

* Oct 29 at 4:25 p.m, a Roxbury Road resident reported someone broke into their residence. The owner reported the couch was tipped over, 80 DVDs were taken, along with a memory card from a play station.

* Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m., a Poplar Hill resident reported someone came into their house during the night and stole a $1,500 desktop computer, a .22-caliber rifle and 80 oxycodone pills.

Fraud

* Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m., a Swift River Road resident reported a person claiming to be from the Social Security office contacted them by phone, demanded personal information and said if they didn’t they would not receive their check. The resident did not comply and contacted police.

Arrest

* Derrick Waugh, 25, of Mexico was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault on Oct. 24 on Middle Avenue by Chief James Theriault. Waugh was also charged with domestic violence terrorizing and disorderly conduct. He posted $1,000 bail and was released. He has a date of Dec. 6 to appear in Rumford District Court.
