LEWISTON — Voters have until Thursday to request absentee ballots, according to the Lewiston City Clerk’s office.

Absentee ballot pickup and absentee ballot voting at Lewiston City Hall will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.

State law requires that the City Clerk’s office not issue absentee ballots for the Nov. 8 election after Thursday. Residents who already have requested absentee ballots can still hand them in until the polls close Nov. 8

Lewiston City Clerk Kathy Montejo has set up an early-voting station on the ground floor of Lewiston City Hall. Voters can come in, get their absentee ballots, fill them in, seal them in the envelope and drop them in the ballot box, all with a single visit to City Hall.
