Legislative Night

MINOT — Androscoggin Pomona 1 will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Minot Center Grange, Center Minot Road, for Legislative Night.

Legislative Chairman Steve Verrill will be in charge of the program with a planned debate between members over the referendum questions. A 50/50 raffle will be held along with the attendance drawing.

Master Betty Young will give a report on the happenings at the recently held 138th annual session of the Maine State Grange. There will be a 6:30 p.m. supper for $4 and a 7:30 meeting.

Exchange salute

LEWISTON — The Auburn Exchange Club will presented the third annual Salute to Veterans at noon Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Green Ladle, East Avenue.

Featured speaker will be Rep. Mike Michaud, member of the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs. A Lewiston Veterans Center staff member will also be on hand to answer questions on veterans services.
