LEWISTON — The Cancer Community Center seeks cancer survivors and co-survivors (partners, parents, and family members of cancer patients as well as those who have lost a loved one to cancer) who would like to use their own experience to help others.

The next Maine Buddy Program™ Training is being held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Lunch will be provided. Interested parties must preregister by Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Cancer survivors and co-survivors should be at least six months out of their own cancer experience or loss in order to be trained to be a Buddy.
