POLAND — The Price is Right game show will return to Poland Regional High School and the event needs the support of local businesses. The evening is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the school.
The Price is Right event is like the television game show. People register as they go in, and names are drawn from the audience to be the next contestant. Local celebrity hosts Peter Ford and Dana Lee will play the parts of host Bob Barker and announcer Rod Roddy.
Donations are needed for the show. In the past, businesses have donated small appliances, flooring, pizzas, furniture, services, hair products, fire extinguishers, gift certificates and more.
Donations are tax deductible and will help support 2012 Poland Regional High School Project Graduation. Donations can be delivered or mailed to Poland Regional High School or call or email for pick-up.
The Project Graduation Committee consists of parents of seniors graduating on June 3, 2012. The committee has been working since August to make the evening a reality. Some of the fundraisers done thus far are a spaghetti supper, temporary tattoos at Pumpkin Land, chuck-a-duck at football games and ongoing bottle drives in Mechanic Falls and Poland.
