LIVERMORE FALLS – RSU 73’s facilities committee will meet Wednesday to discuss Bunker & Savage Architects analysis and feasibility study on Jay and Livermore Falls high schools.

The meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Cedar Street Board Room in Livermore Falls.

The Augusta firm’s study is expected to include building inspections and analysis on code requirements, energy efficiency, environment and costs.

The study is proposed to give the committee and RSU 73 board facts and costs to decide the most viable option for the buildings and students.

The Jay, RSU 36 Reorganization Planning Committee that put the consolidation plan together strongly recommended that the Livermore Falls high school be closed and all high school students attend the Jay school during the second year of consolidation in 2012-13.

The facilities committee will have a follow-up meeting at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Cedar Street Board Room.
