PORTLAND — Olympic snowboarder Seth Wescott of Carrabassett Valley and Bridgton native Ben Wheeler star in Warren Miller‘s latest winter film, “Like There’s No Tomorrow.”

The high-definition release will be shown at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Merrill Auditorium at 20 Myrtle St. in Portland.

Tickets to the one-night-only showing are $27, which includes a free lift ticket to participating mountain resorts and a discount at Arlberg Ski and Sport Shops.

Narrated by Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley, “Like there’s No Tomorrow” follows more than a dozen professional skiers and snowboarders to exotic locations on five continents, spokesman Michael Weiss of Florida said Tuesday in a report.

“Watch as world-class athletes, including Maine natives Seth Wescott and Ben Wheeler, hit the slopes of some of the world’s most inspiring snowy landscapes from the striking Himalayas in Gulmarg, India, to the southern hemisphere’s highest peak in Portillo, Chile, to the rugged terrain of New Hampshire’s Mount Washington,” Weiss said.

Wescott, 35, filmed his segment in Cordova, Ark., while Wheeler is featured in the film’s Salt Lake City segment.

“’Like There’s No Tomorrow’ is your annual reminder that winter is on its way and with it, an adrenaline-fueled dance with gravity,” Weiss said.

“We welcome winter with everything we’ve got,” Max Bervy, the film’s director and producer, said.

“Because, while there’s always a tomorrow, there are only so many dawns with fresh snow.”

On its U.S. tour, this year’s Warren Miller Entertainment film will be shown in more than 240 cities.

Tickets to the Portland screening are on sale now at Arlberg Ski & Sport Shops, PortTix.com, and the Merrill Auditorium Box Office. Family four-pack and group rates are available by calling 800-523-7117.
