OTISFIELD — This weekend the Western Maine chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will present demonstrations of ATVs moving saw logs, pulpwood and firewood trees out of the woods with logging arches specifically designed for that use.
The free program will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the home and woodlot of Merle Ring in Otisfield. Coffee and donuts will be ready at 8:30 a.m.
Also planned are demonstrations using logging arches for moving wood using hand power, along with a demonstration of logging using a 4-wheel drive tractor and winch.
