Bill Blaine-Wallace of Lewiston looks over the display of shrines created by the families of departed loved ones at the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration held at the Bates Mill Atrium on Wednesday. The event was put on by L/A Arts as part of its arts and education program showing how the day is celebrated in Mexico and Latin America. The event featured Mexican food provided by Margaritas and live, Cuban-style music by the Portland band Primo Cubano.
