LEWISTON — The Rosetta Stone language learning software program is now available free of charge to local residents at the Lewiston Public Library. Access to the program is provided in the library’s computer lab.

Rosetta Stone is an award-winning program that provides an immersion-like, interactive learning experience. The software is easy to use and once a learner is set up with a free account, the learning takes place in a self-paced, self-directed environment.

Rosetta Stone language learning at LPL is offered in six languages: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese and Italian.

The language learning software is only available on computers in the LPL computer lab. The lab is open to the public during the following schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m.; Thursday, 5:30 to 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For more information on using Rosetta Stone, contact the library’s second-floor adult services desk at 513-3135 or e-mail [email protected].
