LEWISTON — Six of eight races for Lewiston School Committee seats in the Nov. 8 municipal election are uncontested.
Ward 1 has two candidates, Linda Scott and Bette J. Thibeault.
In the city’s at-large race, three are running as write-in candidates. They are Abbdullahi M. Abdulle, Robert V. Connors and ZamZam Mohamud. Voters must write in the name of the candidate, the candidate’s address (see profiles) and fill in the arrow.
Incumbents running for re-election include Paul St. Pierre in Ward 2; Eugene Paul Dumont in Ward 3; James Handy in Ward 4; Sonia Taylor in Ward 5; and Thomas Shannon in Ward 6. Their profiles and survey answers can be read at www.sunjournal.com.
Ward 6 has no candidate on the ballot, but does have a write-in candidate, former City Councilor Elizabeth Dube of 121 Pond Road. Dube did not respond to candidate profile and survey questions.
