AUBURN — George O. Turner, 75, of Peru, passed away on Nov. 1, with family by his side. He was the son of Ora Turner and Mary Porter Turner. He attended Peru School.

He worked many years as a logger and at the local mills, Diamond Match and Stowell McGregors, until his retirement.

He is survived by ex-wife, Shirley; six children, son, Joey Turner and wife, Karen, daughters, Cathy Mcdonald and husband, Dennis, Tracy Virgin and husband, Perry, of Peru, Penny Lemay of Mexico, Sandra Nisbet and husband, Berl, of Rumford and Peggy Turner and partner, Tony, of South Paris; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeseased by his parents; his daughter, Susan; son, Peter; brother, Ellery; and stepbrothers, Rex and Tad.
