RUMFORD — Glendon R. “Pup” Ladd, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Byron Village Road in Byron.

He was born in Byron, July 26, 1931, a son of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Dunn) Ladd. He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He worked for the Department of Transportation as a truck driver and was a volunteer fireman for the town of Byron.

Survivors include four daughters, Molly Bee Young and her husband, Kyle, of Maryland, Leslie Ladd Pease and her husband, Don, of Byron, Joan Lynn Ladd of Byron and Bobbi Jo Ladd of Byron; two sons, Glendon M. Ladd and his wife, Erica, of Mexico and Everett L. Ladd and his wife, Kelly, of Dixfield; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Everett and Elliott; and a sister, Bernice Bixby.
