Renys was recently honored by the Maine Development Foundation’s Maine Employers’ Initiative, a program which acknowledges Maine employers who promote both educational and career advancement opportunities for their employees. The Initiative provides Maine’s public and private employers with technical assistance and training, which supports employee retention and job skills. Present at the ceremony were, from left, Laurie Lachance, president, Maine Development Foundation; Joe Foley, vice president at Unum and chairman of the Compact for Higher Education; John Reny, president, R.H. Reny, Inc.; and Gov. Paul LePage. Renys has 15 stores in Maine and a main office and warehouse in Newcastle.
