POLAND — Friends of Ricker Library will feature author and chaplain of Maine Warden Service, Kate Braestrup, at their monthly Person to Person- Potluck program, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 13.
The author of several books, including “Here If You Need Me,” a New York Times best-seller, “Marriage and Other Acts of Charity,” and “Beginner’s Grace: Bringing Prayer to Life,” approaches her topics with compassion and humor. She liberally includes vignettes drawn from her own life experiences in her books. Her fans smile or gasp, recognize or ponder as they read her books or listen to her speak.
Everyone is welcomed to participate in Person to Person, held in the community room of the Ricker Memorial Library in Poland. Guests are asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert to share. Beginning at 6:30 .m., Braestrup will speak about “Loving Our Enemies.” She will be available to autograph books following her presentation.
