RANGELEY — A new educational partnership will kick off with registration at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the upper lounge at Saddleback Mountain. The program introduction and speakers begin at 9 a.m.

The event is an introduction to the Saddleback-Rangeley Learning Campus project, John Jenkins, education coordinator of Franklin County Adult and Community Education, said Friday by email.

The kickoff, which is free, is open to any adult learner, employer, high school student or employee.

“Part of our offering includes traditional adult and community education opportunities while providing a work site Learning Campus for Saddleback Mountain employees,” Ray Therrien, director of Franklin County Adult and Community Education, said.

“Our curriculum includes general and industry specific skills to better prepare today’s workers for tomorrow’s workplace with an emphasis on post-secondary education to increase college readiness and completion.”

Based on expressed interest and need, Jenkins said initial class offerings will include but aren’t limited to:

“The unique feature of this project is the combined partnership between educators, employers, and employees,” Jenkins said.

Therrien said that for ease of access, they have contracted two locations to fulfill the community education needs: Saddleback Mountain and Rangeley Lakes Regional School.
