LEWISTON — Anna T. Bisson, 86, a longtime Lewiston resident, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 5, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with family at her side.
Anna was born in Lawrence, Mass., on March 29, 1925, a daughter of Phidime and Lillian (Gagnon) Cloutier. As a young adult, she moved to this community and on Nov. 9, 1946, married Raymond Bisson, and together they settled in Lewiston to raise their family. As their two boys were growing, Anna stayed at home to care for the family and the house. Her husband, Raymond, predeceased her in January 1989.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church. Among her favorite enjoyments were the good times spent with family and knitting and crocheting. Anna also enjoyed traveling and even lived for two years in Venezuela, from 1965 to 1968.
She was a loving, dedicated and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She leaves two sons, Paul Bisson and his wife, Rita, of Lewiston and Rick Bisson and his companion, Doris Leeman, also of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Michael Bisson and wife, Donna, of Poland, Lisa Pomerleau and husband, Jim, of Lewiston, Justin Bisson and wife, Heidi, of Lewiston, Jessica Bisson of Lewiston, James Bisson and wife, Tara, of Turner, Julie Rodriguez-Felix of Las Vegas, Nev., Glen Barry and Cora Pomerleau; her sister, Beatrice Verville and husband, Ray, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ray.
