LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met Oct. 31 at Murray Hall with Shirley Couture, chairwoman, presiding, and 36 members and a guest, Doris Tripp, present.

Couture announced that Eddie Peterson will speak at the meeting on Monday, Nov. 7, concerning Medicare plans available and changes for this year. Members may bring in their Medicare or insurance plan booklets to ask questions if they have concerns.

Dot Wilson and Mary Lou Legere are still on the sick list. Legere is at the Sandy River Nursing Home in Farmington.

George Doiron led the group in singing “Happy Birthday” to Joyce Richard, Athanase Couture, Blanche Bilodeau, Shirley Couture and Diane Getz.

Monday six veterans who are members will be honored and George Doiron and Donna Cook will sing patriotic songs in honor of Veterans Day. Beano will be played as well as regular games and cards. Refreshments will be cake and ice cream served in honor of all veterans.

The 50/50 was won by Carmen Moreau. Door prizes donated by Shirley and Darrell Couture were won by Edith LeBlanc and Fernande Doiron.

Following the meeting, refreshments were served. Nancy Couture made a Halloween cake and cupcakes in celebration of the holiday. Games and cards were played after refreshments.

Anyone 55 or over living in the area is welcome to join the meeting at 1 p.m. Mondays at Murray Hall.
