LEWISTON — Cecile I. Mailhot, 84, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, July 2, 1927, daughter of the late Auguste and Roseanna Tardif Lagace. She was educated in Lewiston schools and owned and operated Lee’s Boarding Home in Lewiston for 13 years. First and foremost her passion was her children and grandchildren and enjoyed shopping for them and was an avid book reader.

She is survived by Albert Michaud, her fiancee; her two daughters, Rose-Anna “My Rosie” Mailhot of Lewiston and Angela M.P. McRae and fiance, Thomas Holmes, of Brunswick; a son, Chuck Mailhot and his wife, Deborah, of Monmouth; her former husband, Raynald L. Mailhot of Lewiston; a sister, Lucille Martin of Connecticut; seven grandchildren, Jared Mailhot of Leeds, Nathan Mailhot and his wife, Shannon, of Ohio, Jeffrey L. Robitaille and his wife, Molly, of Auburn, Richelle M. Ramsey of Auburn, Brannon J.P. McRae of Brunswick, Judy Merced and her boyfriend John Cyr, of South Monmouth and Frankie Merced of Windham; seven great-grandchildren, Abby and Olivia Mailhot of Ohio, Alexis ” Papoon” Mailhot of Leeds and Gavin J. and Carter P. Robitaille of Auburn, Katheryn McEachern of South Monmouth, Audessy Chasse of Auburn; also Richard Ramsey.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Kay Mailhot and Pearl Merced, who will be spending time with mom from now on.
