RUMFORD — Preparations are under way for the “Home Made For The Holidays Fair” to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St.

The United Methodist women have been holding workshops to make the variety of products found at the fair every year.

Gift baskets will be back this year in a variety of themes. Gifts for pets are always included. Fleece mittens, hats and gloves, bean bags and assorted finished crafts will be at the craft table. Handmade Christmas ornaments and decorations will be available at the Christmas corner.

The Kitchen Helpers area will be stocked with aprons (reversible for the holidays), pot holders, crochet topped kitchen towels and dishcloths. The bake table will be staffed by Naomi Robertson and Peggy Welch.

Jane Shuck will once again have charge of the silent auction process.

Mary Pulsifer is back this year with a special area, Krafter’s Korner. People have donated those no-longer-wanted crafting items and supplies, notions, needles, fabric, yarn, unfinished projects, patterns, magazines and Christmas decorations.

Dee Holman will host the Vintage Jewelry table, and Judy Kuhn will serve up a corn chowder lunch.
