Vietnam veteran Clay Gilliam of Lewiston sits in his wheelchair in front of his apartment on Main Street in Lewiston on Friday. Gilliam served two tours in Vietnam in the 1960s as a supply transportation driver for the troops in the front line. Gilliam said the hardest thing about his duty was transporting the bodies of troops killed in action. Gilliam said he’s glad that Vietnam veterans are finally being appreciated.
