LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Clarence “Clay” Coupe was celebrated on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard McLaughlin celebrated the Mass and the Rev. William Donnolly recited committal prayers at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass. Military honors from the U.S. Army played “taps” and presented the American flag to Mr. Coupe’s wife, Eleanor Coupe. Bearers were Douglas and Michael Coupe, Kevin Dimitrioff, Roland Perreault and Kevin Lynch.
